Reviews and Ratings
I had a lovely stay at Grandpa's Hotel & Restaurant, which is conveniently located close to the Irazu Volcano. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, though the wooden features felt a bit basic. The restaurant served one of the best breakfasts I've enjoyed in Costa Rica, and the staff was super friendly, making me feel welcomed. However, the constant noise from the road nearby detracted from the tranquility I was hoping for at night.
My stay at Grandpa's Hotel & Restaurante was quite a mixed bag. The cabin I had was spacious and clean, but it definitely needs some updates. While I enjoyed the overall warmth and friendliness of the staff, the noise from the road outside was a bit distracting at times. The food in the restaurant was a highlight, especially the breakfast, which was surprisingly delicious!
I had a pleasant stay at Grandpas Hotel, enjoying the charming surroundings and friendly service, but it could use some updates. The location was great for visiting Irazu Volcano and offered stunning views, though I did find the noise from the nearby road somewhat disruptive. Overall, it was a simple but lovely experience, and I would consider returning.
I really wanted to love my stay at Grandpas Hotel & Restaurante, but there were definitely some hiccups. The hotel has its charm—it's super pretty and the grounds are well-kept. The staff were friendly and eager to help, making the experience pleasant. However, the cold nights and lack of toiletries were a bit of a bummer. Overall, it’s a decent spot, especially if you're checking out Irazu Volcano, but be prepared for some basic amenities.
My stay at Grandpa's Hotel & Restaurante was a pleasant surprise. the location was perfect for visiting the Irazu Volcano, and the cabins were comfortable and clean. However, the street noise and some cabin updates needed a bit of attention. Overall, it was a nice experience with lovely staff that really made me feel welcome.
